This work draws its format from butterfly collecting. The butterfly embodies our imaginations. Imagination. Unlike a butterfly though, it cannot be pinned down. It flies away, and after that an endless stream of new butterflies are born and fly away. We have developed various technologies and devices to view the beauty of things which are ephemeral in nature. However, could we really contain our imagination in a medium? It's hardly possible to pin down because imagination is intangible.
The title ‘Meta.Morphos’ is an invented word created by combining "metamorphose," meaning metamorphosis or transformation in French, 'morpho,” a type of butterfly, and "meta," which indicates a concept. The imagination creates change continuously, and it is intended to go on without forming a hierarchy of links.
